Did mine without issue. Tried to do a g3 10 today that was pn 4 190. First we upgraded to 4.020 I believe was the number. I assume the 10 works the same as the 12, Tried to install 5.060, but the install continues to show failed upgrade. Reloaded the card and the unit a few times but the result is the same. Ideas?
The download must be for the 10. Don't know if the data is different, but the file name needs to be for the 10

I may have lied to you. was reading the update and I did not see separate updates. The verbiage said the Solix G-3 family and I did not see different downloads. Hopefully somebody who is paying close attention will confirm. Sorry, Bob

I looked for seperate downloads but didn't see any for specific units. The new software went in my 12 with no issues. Following the same procedure, his 10 was one upgrade behind where mine was, I upgraded to the 4.120 I believe was the number first. Then when trying to load 5.060, it fails. Maybe there's seperate ones for the 5.060? Didn't see them but I'll check again.
No, ALL G3N's have the same software files. 5.060 is no different.
What will not work is a download that has a copy number from downloading it more than once. If it has (1) or (2) or (3) etc. the unit will ignore it. The units will only recognize an original download file.

Bet that's it...thanks. so I need to delete all 5.060 files on both my computer and card?
Delete all the ones with copy numbers

The days of the exact model specific updates has apparently ended with the Helix. Since the Helix had many different models (GPS only models, models without SI, models without SI/DI, and etc.), they required specific updates. Solix G1 and G2 also had SI or DI models so there were specific updates for those as well. That had to have been a lot of extra work for Humminbird development team.
In the new 5.xxx software world with Apex, Solix G3, and Xplore, there is a single update that applies to all screen sizes. This will really help cut down on confusion about which update you need to download. Regardless of screen size there is one update. If you have Solix G3, one update. If you have Apex, one update. If you have Xplore, one update.
There might be generation specific 5.xxx updates, but that won't be known until there is an Apex G2 or Xplore G2... If Humminird continues with the Generation approach. There definitely won't be any new generations of the Solix.
