Solix Gen 3 Mega Live stuck in Down

Updated to 5.1 over the winter and today was the first outing using it. Mega Live when on Auto defaults to down whether the transducer is forward or landscape. When set to forward manually the image still doesn't look right.

Tried turning ASHR off and no difference. Going to try to update to 5.25 to see if that does anything

After you do the update, restore defaults for the LIVE.

I did that as well when on the water today and no difference

Installing 5.25 now and will make sure I reset the defaults when done

Are you sure you have the installed orientation correct?

I had this similar issue and I ended up mounting to the wrong side of the transducer. Mine was mounted on Targetlock, so the installation was a touch different than a TM shaft mount.

Pretty sure it's mounted correctly as it worked before the update.

I've tested mounting on either side of the transducer and it didn't affect the operations, for Landscape, however, I much prefer to have the transmit window on the bottom when flipped open.

With that said, I never use Auto Orientation.

I don't use Auto Orientation either. I almost always just run it in Forward 60*. When the image wasn't correct I tried every transducer position in Auto and nothing changed leading me to believe there is an issue.

I unfortunately won't be able to water test until later this week to see if 5.25 corrects the issue or is the transducer is bad

Did you also do the latest update on the Mega Live?

Not sure if you have a Mega Live or Mega Live 2, but the new 5.25 paired with the latest Mega Live 2 2.160 update is awesome.

Mega Live. I did the update when I went to 5.1. I will say that bait tracking is much better on this new version.

I think this was because the graph thought it was pointed down when it was actually looking forward. They matched now

Guess contacting Humminbird is next. Stuck in down again. Cycled power, reset all sonar defaults. No change

That pic you posted is not in down view. Down view puts the ducer position in the top center of the screen. That looks like forward view in some really flat angle. Either way, something is not right.

I understand that the view changes in down. When in Auto no matter what transducer position I use it always shows it as down. When I go out of Auto and force it to a position it shows the same thing it did in down with the "forward" view with the data "modified " to look like it is in forward.

Even with the transducer in Landscape the data looks wrong. Pulled up to a bridge with 5 pillars and cannot see them

Waiting on tech support. Sent them a bunch of various images of it acting up.
