Were does everyone mount there fire extinguisher? Mine came in the glovebox.

Mine’s in my box between the seats.

Starboard rod locker on the port wall.

In the totally useless passengers rod locker along with my wet weather gear, as spare live vest, and a roll of toilet paper.

I just stick mine in between passenger seat and center console. It stays put and is out of the way.

I had the same thought. I threw it in the center console box for now but feel that it needs to be permanently mounted someone. Takes up too much space in the center box.

I mounted it on drivers side rod locker port side. glove box is freed up nice now. Thanks all for the input!

I mounted mine under the front of the drivers seat.

I mounted mine in one of the trays in the bilge compartment.

Starboard rod locker right in front of the console. I’m headed up front if a fire breaks out in the bilge area.

How did you guys mount it? If you drill into the port side of the starboard rod locker, wont that go through into the center box? It appears to just be 1 thin fiberglass wall between each compartment.

Mine is sitting in a tray in the front storage compt. If its mounted itll be in the way eventually.

How many times have you used one? real question and not being smart. I've been boating/fishing for 40 years and have yet had a fire in my boat or another boat near me that needed one. Also with all the electronics we run these days I would bet a fire will come in a rod locker or up front before the rear. That's why we all have discussions to give one another ideas, and then you determine best place for your own boat. :)

I have no idea the point of your post is? I have had my engine have a fuel leak 3x over the last 30 years. No fire.

Common sense says putting a extinguisher where the gas engine is makes zero sense. That would be like storing your life jackets in the bilge.

I don't see how electronics would cause a fire, that is what fuses are for.
