    LITime Batteries

Looking at LiTime batteries but have a couple questions.

Does the group 24 12V 100A battery have the same power as the Group 31 12V 100A I have the room for either but the 24 would fit better.

My plan is to put 4 Group 24's in 3 for my trolling motor and one for electronics, will keep agm for starting the Opti.

Good plan or not so good plan.

Spec-wise, it seems like the BMS will handle it--the difference is probably just packaging.

Should work fine! 100 amp hours is 100 amp hours -lithium batteries are so small. They just make the cases bigger so they fit in the 31 battery trays. The minis are more of what space they actually need but you have to change battery trays out sometimes. Best to try to find batteries made for trolling motor so they have enough BMS to handle the load. Also litime has some good options

Yep the only difference is the case that the battery cells are put into

If the mini isn't compact enough for your needs, you can just start stacking LiTime 12V 100Ah slims.

A guy on YouTube opened them both up. Same cells on the 24 and 31. Just more space with foam filler on the 31’s.

quite pricey for the slims, seem a little more RV/overlanding-centric to me. LiTime did send me an “xtra mini”, which is about as small as you can get for an LiFePO4. Pretty cool.

Well I'm thinking of doing the same thing my battery trays are group 31 size so I'll stay with them . So that you know I have 3-each The Lithium Battery Company Inc batteries in my boat now for 10-years . I use 3-each 80-amp hour batteries for my trolling motor for 36 volt and I use a 100 amp hour lithium battery for the house battery. I have a Mercury 250hp 2013 Pro XS 2-stroke motor and have never had any problems starting my Optimax or charging it on the run with the built in alternator or what ever the Outboard has to charge the batterie

I have been using the group 24 100ah Litime since June 2024, they've been great so far.

You'll run your tm for days. It's been said on BBC and somewhere else I've read. The group 24's have the same cells as a group 31. The 31's have something to take up the extra space to hold the cells in place.

I run the 24 series with bluetooth in my boat. I just put a spacer in my 31 series tray.

There are 5 Litime batteries running my boat. The starter 140A, 3 Group31 100A and a 50A. So far thay have been flawless. The 50A runs a Garmin Ultra 126 LVS34 setup and a Lowrance 12" TI2. It may need to be upgraded to a 100A really soon.

    I’ve used their 100Ah group 24 and a 140Ah. No concerns

I thought about going this route but couldn’t do it. Went with AMPED Outdoors 80AH for the troller and a wieze 100AH for my house electronics. I didn’t want to risk the cheaper construction / BMS on the TM as rough as our lakes get. Talking with Kevin at K&K Kustomz he made some good points of not going with cheaper lithium on the TM. My reason for going with Amped Outdoors was if there is ever a issue I can walk into scheels after some diagnosis with AMPED and get it warranties if needed.

This is a pretty good video showing differences in build quality.

A lot has changed in "budget" battery build quality in the 3 years since this video was made. They all haven't improved, but a lot of them have.

Maybe it was a fluke but I had LITIME in my boat - 36V Ultrex - my spot lock kept shutting off when it rotated 180 degrees . Took it to get repaired - he couldn’t find anything so he called the factory . They said that sometimes a “cheaper “ lithium can cause that . I switched to Epoch lithium and solved the problem . They said it’s a low voltage problem with some BMS’s ? Anyway- no problem now
