    Over heat warning alarm

0G654534 To start, was fine when put into storage last fall, problem was at first start this spring. With key switch in on position, cold motor, overheat constant warning comes on,stays on. Per service manual, checked sensor for continuity to ground, checks good. 12v on purple lead.Replaced warning module with known good part. With tan, blue leads from module and sensor disconnected from junction block, warning still on. Disconnect tan, blue lead from harness,no warning, normal key on warning sequence. Assuming horn activates when tan, blue lead from harness is grounded, horn sounds, which it does when connected to junction block, both leads from module and sensor disconnected. Now I'm assuming the junction block stud is somehow shorted to ground but when checked for continuity to ground, shows open. Can't be the key switch, harness lead shorted to ground or horn would activate with harness lead disconnected from junction block. I'm stumped on this one, gentlemen. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Yeah,Joe,pretty sure that's the case. When I pull the tan-blu harness wire off the junction block, horn quits. I'm thinking that wire is shorted to ground somewhere close to where it connects. It's buried pretty deep under a bunch of stuff. I'll pull it all off and check for any bare spots.

Update...Remove the starter relay exposing the short tan-blu lead coming from the engine harness. The relay bracket had worn a tiny hole in the wire insulation shorting it to ground. Easy fix. Was driving me nuts!
