    Battery setup

Just purchased a Garmin with live scope and my guy said my current battery setup will not handle the load. I currently have two 12's on the front with one being a lowrance hds and one the Garmin 12 and have 2 Hds 9's at the console. Have 3 batteries for the trolling motor and my cranking battery is running the electronics and power poles. He's suggesting replacing the 3 on trolling motor with a 36v lithium and leaving the cranking battery and installing a 12v lithium for electronics. Thoughts?

Your trolling motor batteries have no bearing on your power demand for your electronics, so I wouldn't replace them unless you need to save weight or they are at end of life. Also, keep in mind that if you go to a 36v battery you'll need a 36v charger also.

I do think it's good advice to put your electronics on a separate lithium battery and leave your cranking battery for the motor.

I would suggest using a lithium cranker rather than a stand alone electronics battery, there is no benefit to isolating the electronics. I would recommend using a dedicated wiring harness

Look at our 12v-105, it will work with most chargers

We do offer 15% off BBC discounts with code BBC15 and our cranker is the only one with a FULL 10yr warranty that's not prorated

We can also put you in one of our ALL IN systems if you want to go All Lithium

I agree except I would go with a 150+ AH for the cranking battery, a separate house battery has no benefits over a properly wired system connected to the cranking battery, this is more than enough capacity and leaves room for expansion latter if needed.
I you go with as 36 volt battery for the trolling motor, get 2 40-50 ah and connect them in parralell, I would stick with 3 12s
    Thank You Leon Pugh

That's a great idea too. Thanks for the input.

I have the Impulse Lithium All Purpose 105ah, it starts my 90hp outboard, powers two Pro 12's, a Live 12, a Live 16, AT 2, turret, two NMEA networks and all the boats pumps. The lowest charge I've seen was 42% after seven hours of fishing.
