    Shimano Chronarchs

Its been a while without a new model. Any word on them releasing a new one? I'd hate to buy the current model and they drop a new one at Icast.

Maybe there discounted by 50 buck these day

    Loved the D series
But I've moved on to the Metaniums
The JDM models were hard to pass up last year

Wouldn't be surprised if it gets discontinued. Between the Curado, Bantam, and Metanuim the Chronarch doesn't fill any gaps.

TW only has the lefty version available so just hoping there would be a newer version. I agree there's not much use for another shimano reel but the current Chronarchs are much lighter. Im coming from the Core 100's and 50's so I prefer the lightest reel I can get. I'm interested in the Bates Hundo but theres not much info on the longevity and wear on these reels yet.

Bates hundo is very interesting, the round reel too. I think for the $$ round reel is more appealing....that said, baits seems to be running brass gears on a solid machined aluminum block for frame....the precision of that right there.... less pieces, no seems or edges from a mold.
