Need help with xplore updates via SD card.

Need some help with installing updates to my xplore units via the SD card. The units are not recognizing the updates that were moved from my PC to the SD card. Either way I try, restarting the unit with the SD card in it or going to tool\software updates its not there.
Below is a pic of the SD card with the update on it as it is the card that came with the unit. Im not sure what all that other stuff is on the card, it came like that.

There are several posts about issues with SD cards but I will give you some things to try. First, I would try and format the card as Fat32 and the max capacity for the cars is only 32G. Also it is best to not have different files in there apart from the update one. Hope that helps.

Im not sure what the others files are? Are they some kind of included lake master files? Thats how the sd card looked when i got it with the unit.

You don't use the included map card for unit software updates. That card has Lakemaster and Coastmaster contour mapping. AND you certainly don't format it or you delete the map data.
You purchase a memory card at Walmart that is 32 GB or less, then follow the software instructions exactly.

Just an FYI, updating vial the app will take forever and a day. It uses bluetooth which is not a very fast file transfer protocol. You might wanna wait and get a new card first before trying the update.

You know they look like normal files to me. Whats stopping me from copying them to a "friends" SD card that has hummingbird units. Wonder why they did it that way?

The cards (SD) stand for Secure Digital meaning that for that particular card, those files will only work with that one as it is linked to a number of the card. Almost like a VIN. So that stops you from just copying the files over to another card and giving them to a friend etc.
