Replace all four at once unless going with oem replacements as the valving will be different and hinder ride quality. Lots of great options out there. Mainly depends on your ride preference.

I just put a set of Gabriel AIR Shocks on the rear of my 2021 Silverado. My is a standard Custom model and the rear was a little soft when towing my Tracker V175. This boat trailer combo with the swing away tongue makes for a pretty long hook up. It gets a lot of bounce when hitting dips and humps. Just pump it up to 60 lbs. of air and brings the ride height back to normal.

+1 on KYB I did the rears and had a shop do the fronts. Best shocks I've ever experienced. Nice firm ride but great control. Goes over washboard dirt roads and railroad tracks without the ass end going sideways like the stock shocks.
    Don't worry Ma'am....

I replaced the shocks on my 2018 Denali at 45K with Bilstein 5100's because the OEM shocks with that stupid computerized Magnaride system suck. The fronts blew out around 40K miles when I noticed the ride degrading. Put Bilsteins all the way around and canceled out the Magnaride feature. Much better ride than the OEM shock and half the cost. My new truck has Rancho's on it from the factory. They are a nice riding shock but the rear has a little more bounce to it than what I prefer

I put Bilstein 5100s on my Nissan Titan back in 2016, and they are still going strong. If it’s available for your truck (most likely should be), that’s all that I’d look at. On my Quest, I did install KYBs, since Bilsteins weren’t available for my Quest.

2017 F150 Quad with 115k. Would 5100s give it a softer ride? Always seems stiff to me. Are they adjustable?00

Are you still running the original OEM shocks? Everyones perception of stiff is different. I installed the 5100's on my truck to get the front leveling capabilities. I would consider the 5100's ride similar to factory. Firm but not stiff or rough with a very comfortable ride. If you're looking for softer and you haven't performed any other suspension modifications on your truck you might want to consider the 4600's. Plenty of YT vides out there for comparison

Yes OEM. Never thought about changing them unless something broke. I had my Dakota for 15 years 225k miles and never changed.
