I was over around London, KY yesterday working and they were getting fairly noisy over there. I live on the west side of the state and they haven't started here yet, but I am sure it will be soon.

    Nary a peep down here.
There's lots of decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing.

Nope....not yet anyway. The last time they were insanely loud was in the summer of 2016 when we moved into our current house.

Looks like Brood XIV will be more in the southern part of Ohio...not so much in the N or NE, so maybe we won't hear them.

Don't know if we will get a bigger than normal hatch this year but buzz of the cicadas has always been the sound of late summer for as long as I can remember.

The 13 and 17 year cicadas emerge earlier than the annual cicadas, if you happen to be in an area with an emergence this year. And NY is not in one of those areas.

Last year was the worst year for my life in this part of GA, average density was 1.5M/acre. Haven't seen one this year; understand it will only be in the far north part of the state.

You should go to southern France. You can’t hear yourself think because of them.

Saw the first one today that landed on my house window. I think they are just beginning to show up.

Nope. I'm still waiting on the Hummingbirds. I see one every now and then but they are not regular, at least at my feeder.
