Everything you need to read and diagnose the EARLY Ficht/DFI engines. I used this on a 1998 vintage 175hp Evinrude Ficht, with pinned heads.
This OEM software is on a 3-1/2" disk. The Cable connects from the RS232 serial printer port on the included Dell laptop to the OB Motor. The motor-end of the cable is the triangular 3-pin connector. This cable was a DIY homemade version using the information provided on the Scream&FLy Forums and Continuous Wave.
The s/w is loaded onto the Dell laptop, an older model, but those are needed as this cable runs from the serial printer port, known to the computer as Comm Port1. One can buy cables and a CD of diagnostic software on eBay for $60, from Countries who don't respect US patent or copyright laws, but those run from the USB port and NOTE that the older model Ficht/DFI motors need this version of software, as otherwise the reported values will be corrupted! I know, I had tried one of the $60 cable/software options and while it worked, the RPM Profile values were waaaaasy off, saying I never turned screws for > 5,000 RPMs while from the on-board tach and a premium Dealer hand-held tach I was turning up to the MAX RPMs for that motor, ~5,500!
Not shown is the 1st screen that allows you to read Engine Info, ECU Info and Hours, RPM Profile and read/clear any Fault codes reported. One can also perform static tests, like cycling the injectors and/or runing dynamic tests, like RPM or timing verification with the motor running. Sample screens from my 175hp attached.
