    The Grail...

    ...of 2-stroke 500cc MX bikes.

I bought my bike from these folks... top-shelf experience all around. They sell some incredible machines through their business and maintain many on display in the museum.

    Here's the auction listing...

    2001 Honda CR | eBay

Which one of you is going to be the lucky new owner?

Dang that sure would be nice to ride/have!! I could've bought it, but I just wrote a check for my 2025 Ranger 223F. Besides, I couldn't get the whole family on it and no way I'd give that much just to mangle my body.

That new Ranger is a lot less likely to chew you up than the CR.

But ya gotta admit, like me… If I could only twist the fun grip on that 500 just one more time…

    BRRAAAAPPP!!!

That would be a fun ride for sure. My 500 experience was a blast. I do want to try the Maico 700cc at least once.

Would be a crazy buy for sure but if it came out of the crate it would lose all it's value.

I told a friend of mine that owned a yamaha shop to keep the last SRX two stroke he had, in the crate. Someone eventually wanted it so I assembled it and he sold it.

Can you imagine having some other bikes in this fashion?

I would want a Yamaha RZ350 Kenny Roberts Edition, or even an RD 400 Daytona Special.

Mine needed paint and I work on ones with original paint so had to do something different. I have upgraded everything on it. RaceTech front forks , YSS rear shock , tapered goose neck bearings , 4 piston blue dot front calipers , R1 master cylinder , Zeeltronics power valve controller , Toomey Racing expansion chambers , 28mm PWK carburetors , Ohlins steering stabilizer , Toomey Racing 2 into 1 intake. Ed Toomey Designs did all my cylinder , head and power valve work. I like to call it my 600 killer. Have a couple videos of it running but can’t seem to get them to post on here. This thing is so much fun to ride. Really tough to not get in trouble. Mostly ride my other 2 bikes which can also bring trouble if not careful.

Had this exact bike on order and the Yamaha dealer at the time did not get any or did not order it. Ended up buying a GPZ550 instead. Thim
ng was a tire shredder and a ton of fun but never did get to ride an RZ
