American Legacy Fishing??

Anyone purchased from this outfit? Everything looked legitimate on I ordered a rod on Monday May 5th that they showed in stock. Paid via PayPal. I had not received any follow up by Friday so I sent them an email. Got a response Saturday saying he would check on it and get back to me. Did not hear back so I replied to his email again on Monday. No reply. I called the toll free number and no one answered. Tuesday morning I call the direct number, guy says he is not sure what has happened. He will check and call me back. Well it’s Wednesday after 4pm, basically 30 hours after I called yesterday and still crickets. I called the direct number, got a voicemail message to leave a message but the box is full.
I just sent another email and guess I will have to try to dispute with PayPal tomorrow if I have not heard back.
I have no issues with backlogs, delivery delays, waiting on stock to arrive. Just tell me. I just absolutely hate when a business makes zero attempt to help a customer.

Legit company. I've spent tons of money with them over the years. I've never had the first problem with them.i will say that I haven't ordered anything in the last year so things may be a little different now.

Ordered before, rod showed in stock but it was a drop ship from rod company and was out of stock with them. Of course I didn’t realize any of this at time of ordering . Took a lot of back and forth with them but eventually got the rod. I realized a lot of it was on the actual rod company for delays but was still very frustrating.

They have been slow to get things lately, but that isn't unique right now. Pro Tip: ask for Jacob.

Ordered from AFL many times. Example.ordered a Loomis GLX on a Wednesday, rod in my hand by Saturday.
Call again ask for Hans, the owner. They will do you RIGHT!!

Ordered an imx pro rod from them a few years back and got a call a few days later from them saying it was out of.stock. Asked if i would be ok with a free upgrade to a glx instead. Legit in my book but sucks you are having issues.

Ordered a rod from them with a promotion to get store credit with purchase; maybe $50. I never got the store credit, emailed and called without luck. I finally got someone on the phone and he offered to credit my credit card $50, which I accepted. They are not fraudsters. It seemed like the were just overwhelmed and understaffed.

Is it a Shimano rod?

I'm in a very similar situation. I ordered my rod in February when it showed it was in stock, and I still don't have it. Big difference is the customer service has been good and they gave me the choice to wait, refund, get a different rod. I chose to wait. My one and only complaint is they just need to get their site updated to show items out of stock.
