Our weekly Thursday nighters had a 11PM weigh in, and afterwards there would be a line of boat trailers at the Wendy's drive through, mine usually being one of them. We would pull into the empty Publix parking area and swap lies about how our fishing was for the evening. Bryan New was one of the regulars before he moved, and once in a while some of the other local pros would show up. I looked forward to it, and you had to use the drive through as the dine in area was closed by that time.

This, you have to pick and choose your battles. There is a Hardees 5 min from my house right on my route to go anywhere, basiscally that I use to stop at b/c it also had a nice wide D/T. But, it caught on fire like a year ago :(. But, it looks like they finally got the insurance check b/c I see them building it out again.

But mostly - no. I can pull through the local Lubi's Sub shop, but most "normal" D/T's no way.

Depends on the drive thru and the size of the parking lot. I may park out of the way.

I don’t but yesterday I went through a Popeyes drive thru and there was a guy pulling a boat ahead of me. He managed it pretty well honestly.

x2. I have no problems parking the rig and walking inside even though my boat is a small 17 foot and I can make it. The only time I'll not leave my vehicle to order is Eddie's Drive In across from the boat launch. The gals take orders on skates anyway and there is usually room to park on the side.

I was coming back from Chickamauga to South Carolina. Wife wanted to stop at Chick-fil-A. I ended up taking a chunk out of the lower over that deal. Never again.

I've done it once, but most of the drive thrus around here are barely wide enough for a truck let alone a trailer.

I do the same . LOT easier filling boat tank at home than at gas station . I have 3 5 gallon cans and a battery operated transfer pump that we got at Harbor Freight for $13.95 .

Never ever been an issue getting a boat in a gas station. Try a 40 foot 5th wheel

Same. Also plenty of room to move around at the gas station I use. The strange looks happen when I lay the nozzle on the concrete and pull forward after gassing up the truck. May as well kill two birds with one stone.

I don't have a problem with getting in and out of the gas station, it's all the OTHER people in there that I worry about. Just last week, I had to stop at a convenience store for gas on the way home from the lake. When I pulled in there were no customers anywhere...by the time I had gassed my truck, 4 or 5 cars had pulled in. As I'm pulling out, some clown, in a probably un-insured beater, starts backing up with even looking back and came within a foot of backing right into my boat. I was watching in the mirror and laying on the horn. People have no consideration for courtesy for a guy pulling a trailer.
    Don't worry Ma'am....
    I'm only here for the

I love the gas stations where the spacing is right to fill the truck and boat at the same time.

Speaking of gas stations and pulling things through them. A few years back we took a trip to the Traverse City area. One day we were moving from one campground to another and we pulled into a gas station towing our 24' Jayco travel trailer. I pulled up to the pump and started to fill my truck up with gas. There was two older gentlemen crossing over in front of my truck pulling a smaller fiberglass boat. I saw them go around the outside of the island of pumps then lost track of them (not that I was trying keep an eyeball on them). About 3/4 of the way through filling my truck up, I see my truck kind of rock to the passenger side and my camper leaned the same way. The two older guys that I saw pulling the boat, went around the backside of me and tried to squeeze into the pump on my passenger side and made the turn like they weren't even towing the boat. They drug he boat across the back corner of my camper, destroying my ladder, the hatch over my outdoor kitchen and the rear arm of my power awning.....that allow my awning to partially unroll on that end. It took me a minute to realize what had just happened......long story made short, the guys were super apologetic, gave me their insurance info which did take care of fixing my camper. I kind of felt bad for them because I think they were heading to the lake and it would be a bummer to begin your trip like that. I was still able to use my camper....just couldn't unroll the awning because of the bent up arm.
