Hometown Parade For American Idol Top 3 John Foster

John Foster made the top 3 on American Idol. His hometown threw a parade for him. I love small town south Louisiana. It is a neighboring community of mine and to see the support and joy for him is amazing. Something about small towns that is just special. I am watching a live stream of the parade and can’t stop smiling.

    Why didn’t you go?
If professionals who's careers depend on catching fish use FFS then that's what I'm using. Might be too simple of a philosophy but makes sense to me.

No disrespect, but I wouldn't attend/watch something like that if they held it on my front lawn.

Agree with you about those small towns. Really cool to see how they turnout and root on one of their own!

To watch a 20 minute livestream and hoping to see my grandkids along the route?

Small towns often have the best parades like where I was born in IL.
There's lots of decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing.

    Hi Mike.

John's hometown is really, really tiny. I drive through it every day on the way to work. Pretty cool that someone from that small of a place is in the top 3.

We were in Hawaii the year Ian Tongi won. They really rolled out the red carpet in his little town.

really cool for them to do stuff like that. It’s awesome when people with talent are noticed from less populated areas and not major cities.

    side discussion/observation
I looked it up to see where it’s at.. it’s always interesting to see perspectives from others. looking up Addis it’s a suburb of a big urban city.. not at all what I was thinking small town or tiny town Louisiana..

We live in a small village of 2700, a few other towns nearby though and 20min from the closest “big” city which as 60k people. Wouldn’t consider it tiny by any means.

7 of the top 20 smallest schools in the state are within a 1.5hr drive.. one of those is a town about 20min away from my house. The school has a total of 160 kids, that’s k-12. So about 12 kids per grade. My best friend lives in a tourist town in the ADKs about 1.5hrs from me. It has a population of 335 people total, and 50 miles from the closest Walmart and almost 70miles to the closest taco bell.. total kids enrolled in school is 20, they didn’t even have a graduating class a couple years ago..

that what I was expecting when I read really really tiny haha
