A possible compromise for BASS and FFS?

BASS wont change until they loose some of its core anglers to the other leagues. But then if they do they have plenty of anglers ready to jump in and fill there shoes. I enjoy that each league has its own set of rules and gives the anglers options of which fits their style of fishing and the consumer/viewer options on what they want to watch.

Asked and answered... there are 3 professional leagues with 3 different sets of FFS rules. Just watch the one you like. Variety is the spice of life.

You honestly think they give a crap about the anglers. Like you said, plenty standing in line to replace them.

I dont. It business and until it hurts their bottom line way change. The anglers are their employees and if one leaves they can fill their place and continue on. But if the anglers truly want it banned then why not come together and boycott the tour.

How about if they allowed it for the entire practice time, but prohibited its use during competition? Or allow it the last 4 hours of Championship Sunday to add a bit of drama for the viewers? I think that would be interesting! Thoughts?

How about just let them run anything the want and can afford. Only limitations would be horsepower. Limit them to only 5 rod/reel combo's. Break one or loose one you can't replace it till the next day, and only the baits/hooks/weights you can stuff into 1 provided backpack that weighs 20lbs total when packed.

Better yet, do it like those TV cooking competitions were the contestants gather and the ingredients they can use are revealed.

So load their boats with specific tackle, then let them look at what they have to fish with 30 minutes before the tournaments starts.

With all these threads about all the leagues, I just think MLF has found the sweet spot and is crushing it right now. I thought for sure Boyd was gonna sink them, but it sure seems they found their home.

I say we limit it all! Max of 50mph, 20 foot boats, 2 graphs on the boat, 2 transducers, 5 rods, 10lbs of tackle, 60lb force trolling motor, no gps of any kind...

or we could just go fish and use what ever so long as it is not illegal, its a big green sunfish. Go set some hooks and have fun.
