Lowrance Ghost TMC-1 wire/pin layout

Bought a ghost for my Lund. It comes with the connector assembly (5-pin) factory attached. I previously had the Minn Kota puck antenna that I want to put the TMC-1 in it's place (that only needed power wires and had no connector). It's 5 wires, I'm curious if anybody has cut the cable to get the wire through the hole (don't want to drill a big hole) and then able to splice back together. Any concerns of what is in the wire, or just 5 independent line colors easy line splice?

I would not! The hole goes directly under the puck. It can’t be seen.
