It’s not going to rust out instantly…… it takes a couple years of brackish launching to see problems….. the 6-8 launches they’re doing this week won’t hurt.. it’s not that salty where they’re launching… especially if the water is high and flowing water from Toledo bend, it’s pretty fresh..

Where some are launching for practice is basically salt water or is salt water

Probably seen a small pond on a map and at one point it was an open ditch. Wind and tide will move floating marsh. Going that speed and realizing its now not water wasn't much he could do. Luckily it was the day time cause mosquitos would have made him contemplate life.

Some of these guys REALLY don't understand tidal water. Go watch Jocumsen's latest video. He almost spent the night out there.

You can tell the ones on here that don't really "use" their boats! If you could see what the average coastal anglers put their boat through in a season it would make you blush! Doesn't matter if it's the brackish rivers of the Charleston SC area, the St Johns River in Florida, or the marshes of South Lousiana. All of them will leave you high and dry sooner or later and the amount of shallow water and silt/mud that runs through the outboards don't just instantly kill a motor or even do any lasting damage. Those motors run for many many years doing that regularly and as long as you arent running them up on oyster beds, even grounding them doesn't do much that a good buff job won't fix.

I somewhat agree, and have always used my boat as a "tool" to catch fish and I've been through some nasty marsh water on tidal rivers around here.

The point I was making earlier was that these pros should know that a canal that's only 6' wide is only going to hold about 2' of water and that's at high tide. You better be in and out of there QUICK before tide starts dropping.

If you haven't "been there done that" can you really call yourself a fisherman.
