    Ranger clothing

Why does Ranger allow suck for their clothing? I want the old vendor proir to TrueTimber at least. They had some decent stuff. Normal clothes, Ranger Cup T-shirts, etc. It would be so simple to offer plain T-shirts with Ranger Boats on the front pocket and the old circle logo on the back, do multiple colors - white/black/grey/red/blue.
Some plain circle logo hats. I mean, why not just do simple stuff. Who’s with me?

Business is never as simple as we might think from the outside. But here’s a thought: anyone who believes they have a workable idea for Ranger clothing should find a manufacturer, line up some designs, create a business plan, and float it to WRMG. I’m not 100% sure of many things, but I am sure that Ranger isn’t trying to have a bad clothing line. There’s an opportunity waiting!

It appears that they probably have someone in charge of the Ranger Wear that does not fish and has never owned a Ranger boat and has no understanding of the ‘culture’. Their offerings are of no interest to me. I even sent them an email about their hat / ball cap options and it fell on deaf ears.

I used to have shirts & jackets custom embroidered untill they quit doing that as it apparently went out of style. Ranger contracts out their clothing & gear line. They now use a new supplier & the old supplier had a sale ending April 30 this year. Limited selections compared to years past appears to be the new normal. I'll still pass on lime green or bright red shirts.

Every Ranger tee or hoodie has been undersized. I normally wear a 2xl and their 3xl is still too tight.

It’s pathetic and has been pathetic for a long time. I’m like you, could we just keep it simple? Bring back the old victory II jackets in solid colors. And yes, their hat selection is terrible! When I looked at Skeeter stuff at the classic, I could not believe how much better it was, and how many more options they had in all kinds of accessories.

There is no profit in company swag. I assure you, it's less than a 5% margin business and if it doesn't sell, the margin gets worse. We have the same problem with my company. Spent a ton on high end stuff at a 5% margin and with the inventory that doesn't move, it's a break even or loss making proposition. Sucks, but true. I do wish they had better selections too but I get it.

    Bryan,
There's a place in Sand Springs called Signs and Stitches that I've had do 2 Ranger hats for me(1 unfortunately resides in Grand lake)bought the color of the hat I wanted there, and they embroidered the logo and color/s of thread I wanted and did a fantastic job. Matches my boat to a "T"

Clothing isn't about profit, its free marketing if you break even, but still cheap marketing if you are losing a small bit.

Glad to hear that, but I still don’t understand why every hat that I like is marked $24.95. Who needs economics classes when we have BBC?

Honestly, clothing is expensive. I know from talking to past sponsors that many of them lost money on clothing that they had to sell to dealers for resell. The item itself, plus embroidery/screen printing adds up. $25 hats are the norm now sadly.
