    UNUSUAL CULTURE RULES

In some countries there are weird (to us) cultural rules.

In Saudi culture, the left hand is traditionally reserved for personal hygiene tasks, and using it for public actions like eating, passing objects, or greeting others can be considered disrespectful.

*Gotta be careful shaking hands over there

In Thai culture, politeness and respect are shown through specific body language and actions. The head is considered sacred and should not be touched, while the feet are considered the lowest part of the body and should never be pointed at someone or used to move objects.

*When I was in Thailand it was reported our president had tapped their king on his head. A no-no

If the world was different I would like to see the Middle East but I will just look at pictures and movies and be happy. I am sure there are good people everywhere but hard to tell good from bad.

Rule #7. Don’t put anything from yourself in the Petri dish. Your lab mate will identify it.

Some think you can add sugar or artificial sweetener to a glass of unsweet tea to make sweet tea. Probably the same people.

There used to be a culture where a man and woman would fall in love, devote themselves to each other, have kids, mom & dad would stay together and raise a family.

Can't see myself ever going to Saudi, but Thailand has been high on my list for a long time.

And make sure you go to the liquor store in another county so you won't be recognized.

That's why Baptists don't go to bars, they are afraid they'll be recognized.
There's lots of decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing.

    Hi Mike.

Shit it ended and nobody told me?
If professionals who's careers depend on catching fish use FFS then that's what I'm using. Might be too simple of a philosophy but makes sense to me.

It’s also why you take two Baptists fishing with you. If you only take one he’ll drink all of your beer

I have heard that in Greek restaurants when there is a performer doing a good performance they break plates on the floor. I went to Greece when I was in the USN but never saw that.

When I see pictures of Afghanistan mountains I find it really beautiful and would love to go explore. I doubt the political climate will ever allow that though.

Same with me. Several places I’d like to see, but certain areas are just too sketchy without an M-4 in hand.
