Well…. I’ll say this.. if you have never gotten stuck high and dry on a tidal fishery, you haven’t been on a tidal fishery…

but, he ran aground, zigged when he should have zagged.. I run ditches like that but I have a small boat… can’t do that in a bass boat…. Marsh here(I’m not there but I’m on the opposite side of louisiana and it’s all about the same) isn’t like Florida marsh.. ditches like that run out of water… you better know there’s deep water at the end of the rainbow before heading to the back of one.. satellite imagery and being able to decipher deep water and no water is key…. I’ve done so much map study for my area it’s unreal and probably not normal.. i always study satelite imagery… (not so much now, as I know my little 10 mile circle pretty damn well)

I wish I knew how to upload a video here… I have one of my rig stuck high and dry a couple years ago.. I could see my house across the marsh!! But there was no amount of pushing or pulling I could do to get back to the “deep water”.. 2 neighbors came and one had to dig with his V8 mud boat so the big center console could get close enough to help pull the rope we had..

I’ve been stuck in tidal water four times and one of those times needed a tow. And that was in a remote location where we didn’t see a boat for several hours. It was looking dire!

Sale add will read. Garage kept, like new, wrapped since new. For some reason he has always looked kind of like a goober to me, and definitely not like a pro fisherman.

I duck hunted and fished in the corner of the Sabine and Intracoastal for a long time and that^^^^^^^^^ was the exact thought that crossed my mind when I saw the video.

I don't think that was a tidal issue. Technically the area is tidal, but that wasn't the issue. It is just a marsh and he ain't running that boat in there on the highest tide of the decade.

How far down the Sabine will all the water they are dumping through Toledo's 11 spillgates make a difference?

Looks like a soft / mud bottom. If so, I would not think that would hurt the boat at all. If not, different story.
