Phone scammers today

Be alert, we have had three scam calls so far today. "The Granpa I wrecked my car" "A fake Amazon order call" " " A info phishing" call

Off and on all day every day, the calls keep coming. I don't ever answer, if they are not in my contacts and if it's important they will leave a message.

The last couple months, I’ve been getting anywhere from 2-10 a day and it’s getting on my nerves pretty bad. Most are either for loans or tax relief and I don’t need either.

When you have a business, you have to answer and it sucks. One day last week, I had 35 calls that were crap.

When a call comes in and I hear a click after saying hello, I know its a scam and the receiver is already headed to the cradle, if I get an live person, I just hangup. I get scam calls on my iPhone too !

Same here.....wife always wants to know why i dont answer...they will leave a message if i need to call them back.

I had a friend named rambling Okie. I told him once or twice to pay his tolls. He is in the jail house now.

I get 25 to 35 EVERY day. My record is 44. I programmed my phone so if it isnt in my contacts, my phone don't ring. Phone has an option that if they call twice in 15 minutes, the call comes through.

I quit answering phone calls that I don't have saved or a name attached to the number comes up, a long time ago. I hardly get any calls like that anymore. And at one time I was getting 5 to 7 a day.

For you guys that are getting the calls on your cell phones, do you buy online using your phone? It is VERY rare for me to get a scam call on my cell. One or two every six months, maybe.

Yes I place orders from my cellphone all the time.

I use the Silence Unknown Callers feature on my iPhone. Works great and I never get spam callers. I do get random texts saying I'm going to jail if I don't pay the unpaid tolls that I don't have.

I don't have any problems for few years since:
- have old AT&T answering machine on landline, 2-rings to beep, scammers seldom leave message or call repeatedly. If it's actually a call I want, they will leave a message (such as Red Cross blood drive robo call) or someone not a scammer, or if I'm fast I can pickup phone before caller ends message.
- RoboKiller app on iPhone will handle non-contact list callers, it has a robot secretary to screen calls, take messages, give scammers the run-around. Calls in contact go thru like normal.

I don't get many if any spam calls but I get a boat load of spam texts and email. I receive one mail every other day stating that $13,965 is ready to be deposited in my account. . . just click on the link to confirm

A few weeks ago I had a lady call me and asked me if I wanted to convert to solar power on my home. I told her I am a renter (actually i own). She had the audacity to ask me if I had my landlords contact number. I told her I was not at liberty to divulge his number.

I have been getting alot of scam call lately. I usually play along if I do decide to answer them.

If I am bored I play along. I kept one on line fo 30 minutes. If you do it right you can get them to curse you and then hang up.
