So, are you saying that I should keep my 1199/360 setup instead of upgrading to a newer fishfinder and M360? I was thinking of upgrading to a newer fishfinder to take advantage of Advanced GPS features with my Ultrex (iPilot Link is working fine between the two, though) and might have to get M360 as well depending on what software version is already on the fishfinder. I remember that the old 360 compatibility was removed on the Apex/Solix line above a certain version number.

I definitely don't agree with the "stay where you are" comment. There are thousands of people running Mega 360 without interference and im one of them. If you have an Advanced GPS trolling motor, I would definitely get a new Xplore or Apex and Mega 360. That will also give you the opportunity to go down the Mega Live 2 road should you later choose to go that route.

Thanks for the input on this; I didn't think that there was any way that Humminbird would sell so many 360 units with major interference problems, especially since have everything in one umbrella should help keep interference reduced with the processing power in these fishfinders to filter.

Seems you have other reasons for updating than just interference. In that case update as you see fit. For me, I’v had the most interference issues with the megahertz frequencies. The 455Hz has been pretty solid on my original 360 and Mega 360.

You can search this forum and find many people with mega 360 issues. Assuming they have not been scrubbed.

I'm the moderator of this forum and I can assure you that things aren't "scrubbed" unless they violate board rules, like language, hate, attitude, and the like.

The reason you see lots of issues about all products on these types of boards, is becuase that is the main purpose of these discussion boards... to get answers to your questions and issues. Many (if not most) issues on these forums are from a lack of understanding of the products and not true issues with the product. While all products have issues, the vast majority of the users don't encounter issues so never visit these boards to report the "good news".
