P5 or NRX+ Free Rig Rods

What’s your go-to free rig rod in the P5 or NRX+ lineups? I know the P5 Windbuster is supposed to be free rig perfection. Don’t have the Windbuster but how about an NRX+ 852s or 803S?

How about casting rods for a free rig? Thinking a Dark Sleeper or NRX+ 873 CRR.

    Mainly 3/16-1/4 oz weights.

I recently purchased a P5 Windbuster for the free rig. I've been throwing a 3/16 oz weight and a Dolive 3.5" beaver the past 3 weeks and catching them well. I don't have another spinning rod to compare it to since my other spinning rods are med light. The Windbuster has alot of power but also a nice tip for free rigs. I don't think you would be disappointed with one. You can surly throw the free rig on a casting setup, and if I were to, I would use my NRX 893 and a 3/8 oz weight. For 3/16 and 1/4, a spinning rod works great for me.

I throw it on a GLX 893c JWR 1/4-3/8oz. This past weekend fell in love with the Steez Bottom Contact 2 with a 3/8oz and a Chigger craw . Rod is a Phenomenal Free rig rod . We are talking super clear water for Large Mouth and Smallmouth in grass
