Ozympic and the one that starts with a W are pretty dangerous. There is an in ordinately high risk of cancers in those that take them. Do your research, they can get ugly.

Ozempic for the last 3 months. Lost 27 lbs and am down to my ideal weight now. Cholesterol came down 40 percentage points. It completely removed my desire to overeat. Never got hungry. I could eat a steak, it’s just that I only wanted a small part of it. The only time I got nauseous was when I overate. I’ve changed my eating habits completely. No snacking, no processed food, no alcohol during the week, and small portions of everything. I suppose we shall see if they are a “lifelong commitment”. I highly doubt it but I’ll be a good science experiment. Don’t plan on taking it again, so my new habits will need to maintain what I’ve attained. I actually kind of like feeling a bit hungry between meals.
As for cancer scares, there was a slightly increased risk of very rare thyroid cancer in animals. Never shown in humans but the warning exists. If there is a history of these rare cancers in your family, best not to take them. That’s hardly convincing evidence

“t's estimated that the average American of today consumes more sugar in a two week period than an American from the early 1800's consumed in an entire year.”
Everyone on this thread talking about their A1C levels. Stop eating crap food, it really will “magically” go down. Food is medicine, its also poison if you allow it.
no, your own will creates lifestyle change. The medication is intended to improve your A1C while accelerating weight loss affects producing hormones that make you feel full faster.. it doesn’t magically create a lifestyle change. . you go off the meds, you gain the weight if you don’t have the will power to change eating habits.
my sister in law was on wegovy. Lost weight and her doctor stopped the prescriptions. Gained 10lbs back in a month. Doctor put her back on. These medications are lifelong prescriptions, directly from doctors mouth who has been trying to get my mom on the medication.
I say this fully acknowledging my own faults, I’m out of shape and don’t make the best eating choices. But I’m not at risk of needing these shots.

“Just because you stop Ozempic doesn’t mean you will gain the weight back. “As with any weight loss program, sustained weight loss will only happen with a lifestyle change in diet habits and exercise,” says Dr. Schmidt.”
https://www.henryford.com/blog/2025/...oss-medication
“People who make healthy lifestyle changes—like a balanced diet and regular exercise—as part of their weight loss plan are more likely to keep the weight off after they stop taking the medications. “Whether or not you are able to maintain your weight depends a lot on what you were doing before you stopped taking it,” Dr. Singh explains.”
The articles are endless.
So you’re saying if I take this medication, my eating habits change and I will never need it again?
never knew it has a psychological effect to generate will power and lifestyle changes.

in this study of 200 people, they lost an average of 17% with it, and regained about 12% back once they got off the shot. With an average net loss of 5%.

summary of this study “research shows regaining weight is common after cessation. Experts recommend staying on the medication long term.”
Instead of just spouting “you’re incorrect”. Tell us why you think everyone will retain their weight loss after stopping. Because every doctor disagrees with that

don you actually have any proof other than opinion? Cause I haven’t seen any other than opinion.
Two diff debates are getting intertwined.
i agree with your calorie intake vs outtake.
But I don’t agree that it induces a lifestyle change. There is no lifestyle change it creates; that needs to be a conscience decision the user makes. It doesn’t magically make people unconsciously choose healthier eating habits or give them the desire to exercise. There’s people who eat like crap, and don’t exercise, while on it and still lose weight.
My father in law is in a wheelchair, lives in a nursing home full time at 62yo, and is on ozempic for diabetes. He’s losing weight without any change in habits because there is no habits he controls. The facility dictates what he eats, and his diet plan hasn’t changed in 7 years. If he goes off ozempic, he will gain weight. It’s that simple.

Im on it Rodney… same reason.. down 68 lbs now in 6 months. Sugar is great now.. been walking and using our treadmill everyday. Feel a lot better. The mounjaro definitely takes away your love of food. I still enjoy most foods but just can’t eat a lot of
anything. Pretty much anything you eat feels like it stays with you forever. Kind of wondering what coming off it, if you do, feels like?
On it for 8 months now, 10 shot. My biggest side effect has been nausea, heartburn and indigestion after eating. A1C is 4.9

The biggest thing that has bothered me most is GETTING BACKED UP pretty bad, Dr tells me it is caused by not eating enough, gets your system out of Wack. It's pretty painful guys, stomach feels bloated and laxatives don't help a lot.

Just seems if you can maintain a lifestyle after and no longer need it why did you need it to start with? Won't the same desires return and somehow this time the will power is better because you were on it?
The majority (not all but over 1/2 is pretty safe) of weight loss issues in the country are from nothing more than a lack of will power. That may not be PC to say but it is 100% true.

I like corn flakes.
An a1c of 6.8 is still way to high. You want to get it down to 5 .
Glp drugs work by slowing the digestion of food. Glp drugs have been around a long time but were typically given at much lower doses. The new high dose version slows digestion more. When you slow digestion down enough food is literally rotting in your stomach. That can not be good. You have just disrupted your whole digestive system. That is horrible for overall health.
Protien naturally has glp and when taking a glp and eating a steak you are getting more of the glp.
Glps are a way to eat a crap diet and lose some weight but they are not making you healthy you have just stepped back from the edge. An a1c above 6 is bad. An a1c of 5.7 is prediabetic. The goal should be an a1c of 5.
You are not going to be healthy eating processed foods. If it has seed/veg oil do not eat. Do not eat sugar including juices, grains, rice potatoes. Starches are essentially sugars so starch additives should be viewed as sugar. All of your dressings are going to have seed oils.
I would recommend a keto diet. A keto diet is less than 50 grams of carbs a day. It is safe to have zero carbs. A subset of a keto diet is a carnivore diet, only meat.
Dr Bikman is an expert on insulin. Dr Bikman says to prioritize protiens and also in nature that protien is paired with fat.
Fat and protien have a synergy. Seed oil is also a fat but i am not talking oil i am talking animal fat. Eat chicken with the skin, whole milk dairy, egg yolks etc i make my protien shake with half and half.
There is a lot of info on youtube.look at

Drs baker and berry eat only meat. They are in thier 50s and jacked. 20 years ago kelly hogan was 250 lbs and a blimp.
One last thing. I just learned about a fat in grass fed dairy. It is a c15 fat. It helps with insulin resistance. You should take 2 tablespoons of grass fed butter. It should also be in grass fed whole milk and cream.

I took it for 6 months. Lost 40 lbs. Never had any kind of side effects. Would still be taking it but couldn't afford it.
