well I decided to test my trolling motor batteries and one was dead. went to advance auto to have them load test them and it came up bad battery! so my guess all that stuff won't work well. these 2 interstate batteries came out of my old boat! only 2 years old! my plan was to run them this year and then switch to lithium! guess I'm switching lithium sooner than planned!

Ya those interstate batteries dont have the best reputation as far as performance and life. You will be much happier with lithiums on your troller anyway.

welp I got the 36 volt lithium charged and hooked up! deployed the trolling motor and prop still barely spins! so I took everything off of it and off the mount. gonna take it back to where I bought it. they are a minn kota repair shop so hopefully this gets resolved quickly!

I got the 50ah battery a few months ago. You will be buying a second one. 50ah is not enough. I can kill it in about 4 or 5 hrs.

There are a lot of people with 50ah 36v. I have never killed mine and Ive spent 7 hours mostly on 4-5 cruising around on O.h Ivie in 32-36 degree weather.

I do run a kipewa 3 blade prop on Ultrex and now Quest it greatly improves the performance. On Ultrex i would run 1.25 ish for the speed I used to use 3-4 w a std prop.

Quest I have not ran a stock one enought to know if its much better or different.

You have something wrong then. 90% of the people on this forum run 50ah.

Maybe you have a bad trolling motor. Or are not charging yours full. Lots of variables.

Mine are 8 years old and I have sat in 15mph winds for 9 hours more days than I can count.

I believe that fishon!sc has a 24 volt motor. 50ah is often fine for a lot of people with the 36 volt trollers, but not the 24. The OP has 36.

wind was 10-15 mph most of the morning. i spot locked a few times. most of the time I only needed 1-3 speeds but ran full speeds going spot to spot. im in a new h20 xpress bass. so im sure that does help
