I’ve developed that pesky oil tank cap leak on the engine mounted tank. I tightened the cap up, it didn’t strip, and the next time out it loosened itself up again. Just curious as to how that may have happened. Anyone have any insight to that issue? I did order a new OEM replacement. Anything to be mindful of when installing it?

Received the OEM tank. Install was pretty straightforward. I do have a supply of the radiused zip ties and used those for the install.

Don't over-tighten the cap. You're seating an o-ring (not tightening a plastic cap).
It's wise to perform an oil pump prime immediately after installing and filling the tank so as to make sure no air passed into the oil supply system.
