    Charge in series

Two 12 volt lithium batteries same brand identical batteries wired in series charging can I charge with a 24 volt charger....Yes or No.... If one charges a little faster and the BMS shuts off will the circuit be incomplete to finish charging the other battery?

You will be better off with separate chargers to prevent what you are asking about. Balance between the 2 batteries is important if charging together. Bob

I tend to like charging batteries used in series individually so that the cells can be leveled individually for best performance.

Yes and yes. That is the issue with series lithium batteries. Victron has a 24v balancer that works for this application but nothing for 36v that I have seen. Most of my offgrid stuff is 24 or 48. Cj

Does best performance mean the maximum amount of current?

Yes and maximum health of the battery itself.....for life of the battery.

It is mostly max capacity and cell life.
