Electrical questions for 2023 175 Pro TF
The simple question is: Is it possible to run a new 10 gauge red and black wire from the batteries in the back to the opening in the front of the boat where the trolling motor plug and tilt switch is. I tried to run a fish tape both ways and no success. The other thing that is puzzling, is the two wires that are connected to the deep cycle battery, that apparently power the trolling motor are very large at the battery and smaller at the trolling motor. There is a spare red & black smaller gauge wire set at the front that could be used for one Lowrance unit. I would however like to power at least two in the front.
The larger red / black wires go into a corrugated hose, like a vacuum hose. I tried to run the fish tap through that and it went do far and stopped.
Another observation: I noticed there are a number of black tubes in the front that have nothing in them. What might these be for?
I have tried to find a wiring schematic online for the boat but have been unsuccessful. Tracker boat website is useless on this.
One last question: should I put the new Lowrance on the Deep cycle or the starting battery?
Would really like to get this set up properly and apparently, I am missing something.
Any help would be appreciated.
I am new to this forum and hoping it is helpful.
Regards,
Dan

You’ll have to do some digging to find out where the tubes run. I’ll bet the one from the back runs up to the console area.
It may stop around the gearshift / throttle panel. That’s where the throttle and gearshift cables connect to the shifter lever and the key switch cable runs up to the dash. Look under the console and you’ll probably find a tube that goes to the bow of the boat.
Once you get the cables ran under the console you can probably use one of the tubes going towards the bow.
Running cables can be a pain but this should get you started.

Call Tracker, they will email you the wiring schematics. At least they did for me.

"Another observation: I noticed there are a number of black tubes in the front that have nothing in them. What might these be for?"
These tubes are the rod storage tubes that start in your rod locker. There are some you tube videos that show how to remove them to greatly increase your rod storage capabilities.
