Takeaway from today...Sexton is a beast and I am thrilled to see Forkner running in the top 5.

How about those inflatable chest protectors? Forkner and Barcia got to experience those today!!!

I'm not a fan of SX anymore. Tracks are getting very demanding and bikes are stupid powerful. Too many guys getting hurt. A young man crashed at this one and is paralyzed from the waste down. Motocross is the real racing in my opinion...not just a bunch of timed jumps. Hate seeing these guys getting hurt.

What happened to Jerry Robin this past weekend is the darkside of this sport. Could have just as easily happened on a national track. It's an inherent risk that anyone who swings a leg over a dirt bike takes, it's not a matter of IF you will get hurt, it's a question of when you will get hurt. I hope and pray that Jerry makes a full recovery. His story of qualifying for Loretta Lynn's a few years back on a 1985 Honda Cr 250 because "that's all he had" was captivating to say the least.

Bike power is a progressive thing. A rider from the 70's who rode a 250 two stroke would have been shocked at the power and handling of a mid 2000's 250 two stroke.....not even comparable. The modern day four stroke is just another step in that progression.

I am a huge fan of supercross, there is allot of timing involved but the raw skill it takes to place a bike or even a wheel like these guys do is impressive. No way I could ever do that on their level.

Two rounds to go and things are tight!!! Hopefully the last two rounds are intense.

We made the trip over to Pittsburgh this weekend to watch the race....we were borderline on going or not because of the weather. The rain held off, but it was chilly and windy!
Good to see TV get a win in the 250s.....h may squeak out another championship!?!?! Hammaker owned the entire day right up until the main, I am not sure how he didn't wind up on the ground at least once in his first 1-3/4 lap. I will say, the PC 250s sound so much different than any other 250 on the track. You can tell they are HP monsters.
450s were intense...the gap between Sexton and Webb was like an accordion and I think everyone was holding their breath when Sexton got right to the rear wheel of Webb, but Webb was just surgical with his moves. I think he made ONE mistake in that entire main and it was because a lapper was in his line....and it really wasn't a mistake, he just had to get out of his normal rhythm for a few seconds. Webb was the better rider Saturday night.

So do we see the #3 next week or the week after? That was his plan....but will it be reality?

I think Webb has the trophy this year.
I think what is pushing him is to be Star Racings "superstar"
With all the rumors going around saying Webb is getting a big pay raise because they are not going to have Tomac is a lot of his motivation.
Might be reading into it too much, but I am betting those talks and conversations are under that tent.
I think Chase is a hell of a rider and personally I think he is trying to prove himself as his championship was pretty much handed to him when Tomac got hurt....not saying that he didnt deserve it but there was a lot of talk going around about that.
I do think he gets in his head a lot and makes mistakes. Just like this race he was blitzing the whoops which he is good at. But when he started jumping through them he made a mistake. I think that mistake cost him that race.

In the 250s I was thinking Haymaker was going to take that one also. But he said he spun on the gate giving him a crap take off.
I think the 250s are almost as exciting to watch if not more sometimes than the 450s.
Its going to be a hell of a nailbiter when Utah comes up.

Im ready to see some outdoors races thats for sure.
Then comes the SMX. Think me and my daughter are going to the SMX in St Louis. She has never been before and I havent been to a race in over 20 years.

Utwebb is just super competitive person and with everyone saying how much faster sexton is just pisses him off. He’s always been that way even through amateurs because he never got the the big deals. Cincierilo was his big rival in amateurs.

I've heard so many rumors about Star Racing and the silly season I am not sure what to think anymore....lol. IDK how you can close out Tomac. Yes he keeps talking about retirement but the guy still has it...no question. Why keep J Coop over Tomac? Because Webb wants them to? So he can be the #1 by sweet talking them into dumping their #1????? It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out.......

I doubt Webb has any say so in it. This was supposed to be Tomac last year. Star probably doesn’t want to fish out a ton of money to Tomac for one more year when they have to think about guys who have more years left. Webb already had a deal done for next year. I think he signed a 2 year deal last year.

Man people didn’t like the deegan pass. I don’t see any problem with it. He barely touched him and it was for the championship. Him telling the fans to suck it probably wasn’t a good move. All Webb needs is a 5th or better next to get his 3rd sx title.

I wanted to see Davies pull off a win myself, it wasn’t a rough pass but could’ve been a little cleaner cause he had the whole inside. Deeg’s crashing Davies during qualifying probably didn't help the matter either. Hopefully he’ll get fined something bigger than 1k for his comment on the podium, his mouth needs to be put in check a little more. Going to be interesting to see if Webb makes a payback move next weekend too.

I doubt Webb does anything. He had to know that would be coming since that’s the only hope of him winning the title. He will probably do everything he can to stay out of trouble.

Deegan move was not out of line....anyone could have seen that coming from a mile away. His mouth on the podium is a different story. Yamaha is probably not super pleased with that side of things....what do you expect from a kid raised my the Metal Mulisha?

I hit the fast forward through the rest of the race after Deegan's dick move. He didn't have to do that. I didn't like him much before and he really made me hope he loses every race from here on out. I know that will not happen.

Chase was in a different zone than the others, for sure.

what was wrong with the move? Davies left the inside wide open. It’s his own fault he went down. Chase made the same move on Webb and he didn’t wreck because Webb knew it was coming. Just a rookie mistake on Davies part. Now I agree deegan acted like an ass on the podium but I like having different personalities. Makes the series more exciting.

So if the whole inside is open, he's supposed to be good enough to make a clean pass. I never understood knocking people off the track, anybody can race like a dirtbag. I like to see racers actually set up their passes and be patient and make it clean.

Deegan is an aggressive rider. Just like barcia or Anderson. When you leave the inside open to riders like that you have to expect that. Davies will learn. He barely touched him anyway. That’s racing. Go watch an arena cross race. That is a clean pass compared to how they race.

Just as I said. He could have made a pass without doing that. Which = DICK move IMO. What he said on stage is why I didn't really like him in the first place.

Yeah Davies will learn you can’t leave the inside wide open at the end of the race and if you do check up so you don’t get put on the ground.

The worst part about Deegans move was that it was on his team mate, a team mate that had won the last two rounds. Deegan knew where he needed to finish and where Cole needed to finish in order to win the championship. So why not punt him over the berm and see how this all works out? IMO Deegan knew what he was doing...like it or not and was not going to pass Cole without "taking a shot at him".

While we were watching the race I told my son that since Deegan was closing, he was going to take Cole out and set him back and hope that it's far enough back to win the championship. That's exactly what happened. Deegan could have made that pass without contact.
