Bass Cat Jaguar V. Vexus vxs 21

Out of all the boats I like the Basscat Jaguar and the vexus vxs 21. I also like the Nitro z21 and the ikon 21 footer. The reason I like the nitro compared to more expensive boats strictly cause of the seat height. I like the ikon because they say it’s a safe boat and easy to drive. But most of all I like the Jaguar and Vexus. Mainly I’m wondering about comfort, storage, handling in big water, and draft between these 4 boats. By the way the biggest motor I can have is a 250 so even with the bigger Jaguar that’s what I would be running.

3 of the 4 are likely the best built boats out there currently, and the nitro. try all of them and see what works.

The thing about the Ikon is its a newer company and may have some problems that no one has found out about yet. The only thing about the Vexus I wonder about is the draft, I fish shallow a lot so whatever boat I get needs to float in less than a foot of water, I believe the Jaguar with a 250 will do that.

Doubtful you'll find a 20' or bigger bass boat that drafts 12" or less. Maybe without a motor on the back if it.

I’d sit on a life jacket before I bought a nitro over the other choices.

    Ride
Remember the Jag is a 22’ boat and in big water that extra foot can make a big difference

    Storage
I’m not a fan of the one big center locker you see on the nitro, Vexus and Ikon especially if you fish big water because sooner or later you’re going to get caught out there and have that really rough ride home and that locker turned into the one big box of chaos

    One last thought
One thing I’ve learned over the years your boat is only as good as the people that stand behind it. I’m not a bass cat owner but one thing I’ve noticed is bass cat has great customer service and how many other brands have someone here (BBC) on a regular basis helping its customers and answering the hard questions

Ikons parent company has been around forever and used to make bass boats 2530 years ago. They are not a new company at all. I believe it’s Hatteras yacht company is the parent

I think White River Marine (Johnny Morris) bought Hatteras a couple of years ago.

I don't think any of those boats ride bad. Prolly give the vexus a nod on the ride of those mentioned. Just none of those are that much better than the other in this category. I think speed maybe similar in those models all about 68-72mph with a 250., not sure about the jag though. Storage they all got ample storage in those sizes.

It's not 1 foot its more like 1-2"

    VLX21 is 21' 11" and the LX21 is 21' 10"

Nitro is the shortest at 21' 2"

After owning 16 boats, there's not one I'd give up my Jaquar for.
