2014 250 proxs air injector question

Compressor failed. Not catastrophic. Piston and rings intact. No metal in air line. Needle bearing gone on rod. Cleaning injectors and the black plastic cap comes out of the top of one air injector. Goes back in but can be removed. Does not fall out when inverted. Is this cause for concern? All injectors cleaned up fine and flow within 2%. Thanks

MRP fuel injection Greenville,Tx. The inner plastic ring on the diffuser is missing or was never there which I am starting to believe. Metal is there. Does not look like it broke. No strange edges and perfectly round. The odd thing is on one injector the diffuser is metal and no plastic This motor has never been worked on.

If the aluminum inlet of the DI is loose at all- THROW IT AWAY. You need a new Direct Injector.

What RPM's, pressures and activation parameters did the injectors all flow at within 2% at? Most automotive-based equipment won't drive these anywhere near WOT parameters (some not at all).

2% is hard to believe on direct injectors, fuel that is the target
    Thank You Leon Pugh

I'll try to post the reports soon. Aluminum was not loose. Ran it 4 hours yesterday. Much better response of idle. No codes. Temps good.

Hmmmmnn… hard to believe injectors flow more volume “dynamic” than they do “static”.

    No parameters provided either.
