OK,
replaced the electric trim motor last Fall. now trims fine and quiet, as a matter of fact it trims so good it even does it on it's own!
motor trimmed all the way down, throttle fwd from idle (1/3 of the way), cruising along w/ no trim input, and away she goes.... trimming up until i hit the trim down throttle switch (thumb switch), then she'll trim normally.
the only thing i have noticed is that the thumb switch on the throttle handle feels a bit crunchy... not smooth as it should be, but not obviously a problem.
dealer is ordering me a switch. is this something I can replace with my standard tools and pretty good hands-on skills or something the dealer should tackle?
any other ideas on what could be going on? it doesn't do this sitting idle on it's own, just after advancing throttle to about 1/3 and motoring through the water.
