Could I have a bad brake caliper?

I periodically have the right rear wheel on my 2017 tandem axle make a squeaky, squealing noise. I notice it at the boat ramp after un strapping the boat and going slow to launch the boat. I’ve jacked the trailer up and had a buddy spin the wheel as I used a screwdriver to pump the actuator and everything works as it should. Could the caliper be occasionally sticking? I’ve also used a temp gun and checked the rotor when I get home and it seems fine. Wheel bearings are fine and no signs of grease leaking. This is a fairly new axle and Vault hubs. Thanks

Most trailer calipers do not have retractors. On some cars and trucks there are thin metal shims that could try to convince the pads to retract slightly, but I haven't seen them on trailers. Anyhow, it could just be a pad touching the rotor. Have you checked the bearing for excessive clearance?
Since there has been no negative effect, if it were mine I'd just keep an eye on it, but I'm lazy.

Mine started sticking on a 08 trailer. Causing seal to fail from heat. Replaced calipers 5 years ago. Been fine since.

Can you just replace 1 caliper or is it recommended to replace all 4? Thanks

Replace the one if found faulty. I would also check your brake pads for delamination (friction pad material separates from the metal). This is what caused mine to squeal!!

SPounds like you have checked out every reasonable possibility that could be a problem. Since the only issue is a sqeak and everything checks out as normal, go fishing and forget it.

Could be a piece of grit embedded in a pad.
