Carpet wear under console, any solution..

Has anyone figured out a way to avoid or slow down the carpet wear under the console caused by the constant getting up and down?

That happened to me in my old skeeter. I used an old back seat floor mat and placed it under the console. I used one that matched the carpet, it didn't look bad and kept me from wearing a hole in the carpet.

A floor mat with snaps so it doesn't fly away.

I bought a carpet entry mat the same color as my boat carpet. Works like a champ and you don’t notice it unless you look real close. No need to add snaps to it so it wont fly away as when under power your feet are on it,

I’m not sure there is a resolution. It’s a common friction/wear spot. I try not to twist as hard on the planted foot when getting up but I’ve noticed it in my carpeted boats and with boat with the sea dek. I’m all for the sea dek or sea dek material but what I have noticed about it is the hotter it is outside the more spongy it feels therefore the more it wears in a heavy traffic area. I try to remind myself to take it easy getting up in the middle of the summer when it’s 100 degrees out.
