    Presque Isle

Man, just spent the last 4 days up there....That place is heaven on earth for smallmouth fishing! It took 2 days to figure it out but my buddy caught his PB at 6.2 pounds and we had enough 4-5 pounders to make it a great trip. Already looking forward to going back next spring

glad you had a great time they have been hammering them up there lately. Did you get to go on the big lake or just stay in the bay?

we fished the main lake Saturday because it was to windy on Saturday and with the wind direction it was impossible to fish in the bay...Sunday and Monday we only fished in the bay.....Friday we spent some time on the main lake and smoked the drum on live scope

I will be heading up there Next Tuesday to fish for 4 days....

If you don't care to share, what was the water temperature inside the bay? Has it gotten to 50 yet?

I'm surprised you guys had water temps in the 50's up there already. I'm bringing a buddy up there on the 22nd for a few days. Looks like we'll be a little late this trip. He's never been and is super pumped, I've haven't been in a few years and just hoping I'm able to give him a good trip.

Glad you were able to get out on the main lake. Wind can ruin a trip up there . 2 years ago in the fall the wind was so bad you could barely fish inside. After 3 days sitting in the hotel we packed up and headed home. We did stop and fish a river on the way home, but it was not worth the time we had to take off from work. When it’s good, it’s good up there.
I’m headed up to Champlain on the 17th and cannot wait.
