Had to leave for work and missed last 10 minutes, had very little faith in Tampa holding on with the way Florida was attacking.

Two cheap shots in that game that are 100% worthy of a suspension. Both had the intent to hurt! Ekblad should have had a major called on him, wouldn’t have been in the game to score. The league won’t hold them both accountable, that was proven already in the last game. Officiating was atrocious… how do you miss the hit on Hagal? How do you miss 2 men blatantly offside? Tampa had to challenge for them to get it right.

With that said, Tampa lost the game when they couldn’t score on a 5 minute power play.

this year has been specifically very very good, the matchups have been awesome, the level of play is as high as its ever been, there are no clear "runaway" best teams, every series is a battle tooth and nail for every inch of ice.

There is no sport, full stop that is still laying it on the line like playoff hockey. These guys are going to war and sacrificing their bodies to win every night. Incredible stuff to watch.

Meanwhile I saw a highlight last week of an NBA player leaving a game and then missing the following game with a "contusion"

My favorite team is of course the Wings, but otherwise I cheer for any team north of the border. Each year I root for any Canadian team, hoping that eventually one of them will actually win a game and hoist Lord Stanley's trophy. C'mon Canada, throw ole Pat Roy back between the pipes and win something!
