    Network Question - HB HELIX15//HELIX12/XPLORE 12/Live2/TARGETLOCK/360

Before I go unhooking everything I have wired over the last couple of years...
Am I missing something that would easily remedy this problem?

I want to Network all together - So my Xplore can utilize functions of Target lock - and maybe see 360?
I have an overview diagram of my units and a, ready to purchase a new ETHERNET box, but not sure if I need to?

You can see on my diagram that I currently have the XPLORE 12 directly connected to the ML2 / TARGETLOCK (?)
But, I believe I am missing some functionality.
1- I cannot set my TL to SCAN automatically? I was hoping it would rotate the TL across the 120 degree area without having to push on the foot pedal back and forth.
2 - I was hoping to select a waypoint and allow myself the ability to PRE-AIM my TL/ML2 at it as I approach.

Appreciate your eyes and knowledge to help me understand.

Can I somehow connect these all together without an additional NETWORK box?

I have a couple of observations to make regarding the diagram of your system. First, the green line from ML2 to the Xplore seems unnecessary. The ML transducer should connect to the Ethernet cable attached to the Target Lock, then the Target Lock Ethernet cable would connect directly to the Ethernet port of the Xplore. Second, the M360 does not connect to a switch, but rather connects directly to the transducer port of any compatible Humminbird head unit, (usually using a Y cable that will combine M360 with the Ultrex transducer). In your case, it would be the Xplore, since you said you wanted to view it on that unit. In that configuration, no other of your units will display M360. Alternately, you could connect the M360 to a Helix that is capable of M360, and all other Helixes on the Network could also display M360, but not the Xplore.

Thank you. So, is there any configuration that allows the Xplore 12 to see (lower grade) Helix transducers if connected through the network box?

I feel i am lost on the Target Lock/ Mega LIve2 having all functions at the Xplore.

Your instructions will help me though,...I will go back through my wiring and verify how I currently have things connected together.

Nothing on the Helix units is shareable with the Xplore. They are not designed to communicate with each other. They do not "speak the same language".

The Xplore transducer is "lower grade". If you want the Helix MSI+ performance, use the SOLIX/APEX MSI+ transducer.

Hopefully last question and explanation on this.....

Would XPLORE and HELIX both control my iPilot linked ULTREX if all networked?

Again, trying to maintain iPilot steering from HELIX, and also have TargetLock functions at XPLORE (including sweep)

yes, any HB on the Network can use the Ipilot link.
