Mercury 250 Pro XS V8 oil consumption

Hey guys, I have a 2023 250 Pro XS V8 that is using more oil between oil changes than I think it should. The oil was changed 37 hours ago, and it has lost enough oil that that it went into limp mode this weekend. It did this on the previous oil change as well. I know I should be checking the oil, but between it being fairly new, and having a cover that doesn't have an access to check the oil, I don't check it like I should. Just seems like I never hear of guys having to check their oil, or their motor losing oil that quickly. Anyone else having similar experiences? I don't have serial number on me, at work.

    Thanks,

    Chris

The first question you will be asked is how certain you are that the level was correct to begin with

Every time I fill it, I go through the reccomended process of trimming motor to correct points, and then checking, always filling to the top of fill level.

The trap door opens right up to the dipstick. Why don’t you check it all the time? do you idle a lot or troll or anything like that that would cause you oil consumption to go up? Do you get smoke clouds when you start up? Might have ring issues they didn’t see it in properly or the slots or lined up or something or Strange happening to it??
