I guess I'm just wanting to vent ,,, We had a nice home with in min of Lake Houston County Lake out in the country outside of Crockett ,I loved this place , but my wife is a city girl at heart and was not really happy there and then she wound up getting a really good offer in Houston so away we go ,,, we are renting a house in the Rosenberg area as of now and shopping for one to buy ,,, Oh my God I hate the traffic here ,,, subdivision living is just not for me but guess I have no choice for now ,,think it's time to go spend a week on Toledo Bend to get a break from this place ,,, but anyway thanks for letting me vent

I've lived in Texas now for 24 years and can proudly say, I've never been to Houston.

Houston is a place that I hope that I never go back to. I go there for work once a year and that’s too much!

Traffic is getting really bad allover around Houston and surrounding areas. I wish people would stop moving here.

Thirty minutes could be a few miles away. houston traffic is terrible.

My Dad’s job took us to Houston from Colorado and never liked it. Richmond, Rosenberg and Sugarland were nice little towns back then and not suburbs.

I was glad to go to college in Huntsville and my roommate for three years was from Crockett spent a lot of time on the Houston County Lake

30 min from Houston you are still in Houston ,, I tried to talk her into looking for a house in the Conroe area but that's farther to drive then she wants to her job,, but I have not give up yet

I really liked it there ,,,could be at the ramp in 10 min ,, nice small town and in you needed more Palestine was right up the road ,, and of course you could be in Tyler in a reasonable amount of time and they had an awesome power lifting gym in Crockett as well,,, but man you should see Rosenberg and Sugarland now ,,, holy h***

I drove thru there a couple weeks ago going down to Victoria for a funeral ,,, first time I had been thru Houston since 2017,,, I was shocked how much more traffic there was on I-10 and 59 South ,, and off subject but would have never dreamed there were that many Tesla cars on the roads ,, but every time i looked up there was one beside me or passing me ,,, the electric car market is doing quite well in Houston Texas

Big Will, I just moved from Sugarland area to Conroe. I hate to tell you, but you need to keep fighting that fight. We love it. Not sure where the traffic is you are talking about. Rosenberg to Houston up 59 and back can get crazy once you get near the beltway in mornings and after work. Traffic in and around Rosenberg isn't that bad though. I have been going to Rosenberg/Richmond area for work the last 20 years. But Rosenberg/Richmond is only going to get a lot worse. That place is exploding in growth with new subdivisions popping up everywhere and dozens coming you can't even see yet. What subdivision are you in?

Houston is the only major city where you can sit in bumper to bumper traffic on a toll road I believe. The Conroe area is nice but it can take two hour to get home from downtown on a weekday. I moved from there three years ago because of that. As for lake Conroe on the weekends expect the same style of traffic but boats…

We are renting a house in the Summer lakes subdivision for now ,, and you are right this whole area in filled to the brim with new construction ,,, it is overwhelming looking at houses here ,,, Her work is in the Sugarland area so living in Conroe is going to be too far for her drive
as far as the traffic , we just moved from a place where the whole population of the entire county was only about 22k ,, i think my neighborhood has that here ,,, Yea Rosenberg is not too bad I guess but man , it's just way more than I want to deal with

I lived in Houston 24 years Austin for 5. Moved to Florida and I can tell you the traffic is bad everywhere.

I was 35 yrs old when I went to visit my buddy in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Born and lived all my life in Houston. Looking back (I'm 66), can't imagine what I was thinking staying that long.

What a God awful place to live once your past the nightclub age. Between May and October, weather is hot/humid.

Two good things. Employment and restaurants. For me it ends there. The cons don't make up for it.

Check out Luce's Bayou in the Northeast side of Lake Houston. Maybe the Sheldon reservoir, now called Sheldon Lake. Fished both about a 1,000 times back in the day.

I live here now, it's slightly better.
