Is there a way to reset a lithium ionic battery?

I have 2 lithium Ionic about 3 years old I think. They both say 99% and 100% health according to the app. I went out the other day and my trolling motor pretty much lasted about 15 minutes and died. I pressed the tester on the trolling motor and the batteries were low.

Checked the batteries off the water and they both showed 98%. Came home, not really sure how to troubleshoot, I charged both again and checked with two chargers, one was a NOCO genius and the other just a generic smart charger, both said fully charged when done and the app still showed 99%. Hooked them back up to the trolling motor and was full bars by the next day down to two bars, I have had this set up for 3 years, everything the same.

Took them out of the boat, put them back on the noco charger, one is fine the other now just blinks the light. The first red light will just blink and not go up. Wondering if I have a surface charge?

Any troubleshooting tips? Is there a way to fully discharge the battery?

I’ve had to reset mine a few times unfortunately. Connect them to a main power lead that has navigational lights or something else that will run them completely down to zero. Once they’re totally discharged connect them back to the charger and monitor them through the app. Hopefully that fixes them

Run the Noco force mode. I’ve read when the BMS is tripped, they’ll show 100% but they’re still tripped.

Thank you, I’ll give the force mode a shot tomorrow, I didn’t know that existed and if that doesn’t work I’ll power something up with it.
