    Removing shifter

I'm trying to remove the side panel on my Champion to run my electronics cables but the shifter is holding it on. Can someone please tell me how to remove it. I don't see any set screws or anything else to remove it. I thought maybe the fast idle button would pop out, but I was afraid I would break it. It is a 2008 Pro XS. Thanks.

    Billy:

There are quite a few "possible controls" that may have been used in your boat. If you could post a picture.... or email one, it would make answering your question MUCH easier.
