I currently have my LVS32 on the trolling motor, although I haven't thought about a turret yet. I might find it more useful to have a 2nd FFS on a manual pole (crappie fishing several methods) than to put my FFS on a turret because there are times when I'd want to look at several rods simultaneously when spider rigging or to look what's ahead and look at the crankbaits/jigs behind me when long lining than to go back and forth on whether I want the FFS to point where my trolling motor is pointing vs manual point.

Mine is on the trolling motor.. again. Buddy has a live scanner on his boat, and I haven’t minded it the 7-8 times I’ve used it. Liked it enough to buy a Livefoot myself. I made it two trips, before I yanked it off, and back on the Ultrex. Just fits my style of fishing the best.

Manual pole. Hand control. 3 receivers. One beside trolling motor. One on each side of front deck. Love it.
Hang on. I'll help you in 77 minutes.

I've always had it on my Ultrex since day one but if it's a windy day, its useless cause you have it on spot lock or constantly steering.....so this past winter, i got the Foresight motorized pole.....was able to spot lock and actually fish a brush pile for crappie......i now have the Garmin Force pro and still using the pole. So far i like it that way....the pole is removeable so i can at anytime move it and put ducer on troller if i want to......for me, i'm liking the motorized pole.

Having forward and perspective aligned and aimed together is a HUGE advantage and one that was an essential design criteria for our sonar aiming system. Knowing that from the centerline of my perspective -9 deg to +9 degrees is where my forward is 'seeing' allows me to immediately judge, for example, if what I am seeing on forward is a stump or a log that just happens to be perpendicular to the transducer, or if a depression is a bowl or a perpendicular creek, and on and on. It also makes is so easy to know where the 'edges' of your forward cone is and this is the true difference maker in using FFS.

A sonar aiming system done correctly will work with your fishing style with zero compromises.

I agree. I’ve kept a close eye on your setup, and is something I could see myself trying in the future. I don’t like having to choose one setup over the other. Being able to mirror and work independently with your setup would solve my issues with a pole mounted transducer.

Thanks guys, that wind has been a hard learning curve for me personally. I see advantages for both.

I bought my boat used and it came with a Live foot turret on it. I LOVE it, but it's pretty expensive.

Edit: took some pictures of mine. I love having the foot buttons right next to the trolling motor pedal. I love being able to aim it exactly where I want and keep my hands free, regardless of what the trolling motor is doing.

Absolutely. I would have never bought that live foot myself because of the price, but I sure do love having it.

I have the same setup and really like it. I bought my Livefoot lightly used of Facebook Marketplace for half price.
