I bet it's region dependent. There aren't a ton of bass boats around me, and the ones that do come up are for premium dollar. I drove 6-7 hours for both the boats I have bought.

RI to GA to get mine. Almost exactly 1000 miles 16 hours one way. I left 4am the Monday before thanksgiving and got back 4pm Wednesday the day before thanksgiving. Grabbed 2 nights in hotels but only spent a few hours at the hotels haha. Got it from a dealer, it was the right color, right options, decent price, electronics I wanted on it. My stupid bank had me held up at the dealer for a few hours that threw off my schedule.

All that for a nitro haha

Drove 7 hours one way on my first bass boat purchase. 5 hours one way on my recent boat. Another I drove 3.5 hours. I really don't know my "limit". Would depend on the deal and if it's exactly what I was after.

I drove 6 hours round trip to look at mine. He had scheduled service coming up so I had him add in a compression check, and a few weeks later I went back down to pick it up, so I guess that's 24 hours of drive time.

Friend of mine went from Ohio to Texas last year for a used Ranger 522D. He got a super deal on it since these are still highly coveted boats around the Great Lakes, & not so much in Texas.

I drove 5 hours there 5 hours back for one. When I stated that this boat looks nothing like the pictures you posted, Old gal said "I took those when it was new"

I drove 9hours from Brookhaven, MS to Jacksonville, FL to purchase a saltwater boat. I spent one night in the hotel, and made a trip of it. I went solo, too! I like to drive and I had that F250 Platinum wide open!! It was worth it since I got just what I wanted. Go for it, if it is what you want.

One thing we have today that we dident years ago is videochat. Have the seller videochat you and take you on a tour showing you the boat with his phone. I have done this a few times with other things......helps a lot. And the cameras on the phones these days are really good so you can see pretty close to being there.

I've driven 4-5 hours one way to purchase a used boat twice. On the way home about 20 miles from home with one of the I had a blowout on the front starboard side with tire cap wrapping around the axel, I had to call my SIL to bring me a hack saw to cut the tire cap off the axel to put the spare tire on. (lots of fun on the side of the road in the dark with a flashlight!)

Depends on the deal... I just drove 3 hours one way to buy a 2015 boat with 16 hours on it. For the right deal, it is worth it.

I drive 12 hours to Mo. The boat was on this site. The retired truck driver did his own maintenance and sent me a copy of his book, and pics from every angle, inside and out. The motor was newer and only had 65 hours on it. Sent me a copy of the read out on the motor from the local dealer. That was 7 years ago. He was leery of a bank check, so after a test run, we stopped at his bank. Had his banker call my Capitol One banker, and verified the check was true. Drove back 12 hours to home.
