As much as I love Bass boats and Bass fishing, the older I get, the stronger my love has grown for streams and rivers and fly fishing/fly tying. Very peaceful!

This. I fish every Sunday afternoon if I don't have a tournament that weekend. Not sure what I would do if I didn't get to fish out of my own boat. In the last 33 years, I have been boatless for 1.5 months.

If I sold my bass boat, the last thing I'd do is fish more. I'd probably take 4-5 strokes off my handicap, and upgrade my pontoon boat for the lake house. I have zero desire to go to Canada, and any traveling I did would be for sports games.

I'm less than a hour from one of the most well-known trout fisheries in the nation and I have to keep 2 boats, the bass boat for everything else and the war eagle for trout streams.

I sold my boat in '22. I didn't think that I could live without one. Life changes, and I was caught up in the middle of it. I've never been without a boat since 1990. It's a different feeling for sure, but I will say I have a target date for another.

Buy a semi-V aluminum with a 9.9hp, 45lb TM, one fish finder, and keep fishing.

I have one of these in Ontario but without the depth finder. If I can see bottom it’s shallow, if not it’s deep! But adding FFS? Maybe.

1. Go on more fly in trips in Canada no thanks
2. Go on guide trips on lakes around you no thanks
3. Fish small streams and Lake this is why i also own a kayak
4. Go as non boater with friends no thanks
5. Learn good places to fish off bank no thanks
6. Fish farm ponds no thanks
7. Fish more pay to play lakes like Dream Lake no thanks
8. Go to California Delta and Texas Lakes and hire guides no thanks
9. Do more saltwater fishing with charter captain I'll just buy a bay boat instead... to have in addition to my bass boat
10.Buy a cool sports car as you no longer need a truck that gets 16 miles a gallon no thanks, might end up in a sedan for a daily driver soon though... to have in addition to my truck

What else am I missing?

If having a bass boat doesn't align with what you want in life, sell your bass boat. I spend too much time alone in mine to be willing to give it up.

Sold mine years ago and have regretted it ever since. Life keeps getting in the way of buying another, some things that have been aggravating and some I wouldn't change for the world, but man do I miss it. For the last couple of years, I wouldn't have the time to use it like I'd want to anyways, so keeping that in mind makes it a little better. Just going to keep beating the banks when I can and get invited along with others on occasion for now, but I'll eventually get another.

Why wait until you sell your bass boat to do other things in the list? I've owned Champ since 1989, and had a boat and canoe before that (still have the canoe). I've done 2,3,4,5,6, and [10?; 1980 Honda cb750f; 12.52 quarter mile (cycle world)].

I would get back to flying my r/c helicopters more like I used to and play more golf. Been contemplating those thoughts for a couple years now and thinking harder on it with as stupid as the lakes are getting nowadays.
