I had a 2006 295 ProXL for 15 years with a 200 HPDI...excellent and fast boat...It would hit 71mph with a 27 Tempest Plus prop but you had to drive thru the chine walk at about 67mph....fun boat...but filter changes on the engine yearly will save you alot of headaches....including the VST filter...also changed spark plugs yearly...what's he asking? Sold mine last year for 13k with 614 hours on motor...

I think I can buy it for 13k wish I knew the engine hours but I bet they'll be under 200

You may have already made a decision, but I agree that anything near $13K would be a good buy and I think you'll like the boat unless you fish very big water. I have a 2004 295 ProXL and really like it. It's reasonably fast with an '04 Merc Optimax 200 (68 tournament load, 71 with me solo and half fuel + full gear) and a 6" jack plate, and it rides rough water very well for its size. I have a Merc so I don't have an opinion on the outboard. Once you're on the spot it fishes great - very stable platform and convenient storage.

I bought mine much like yours - in 2022 the engine had only 135 hours on it, and virtually nothing about 3500 RPM. I had to replace the trolling motor (45" Ultrex 24v) and add all the electronics I wanted (Garmin Echomap Ultra 126sv x2, Livescope LVS34) and it fishes great.

Due to years of minimal use & maintenance before I got it, I had a local trailer shop go through the brakes - they were a mess and it was less expensive to replace the tongue cylinder and both calipers. I also had them disassemble and service the oil filled hubs, and I replaced all 3 (single axle) trailer tires so I'd know what I have. I recovered all the trailer bunks as the carpet was fairly rotten and started tearing after just a few launches. All together this trailer work was around $1500 but was well worth it for peace of mind on the road.

Just some things to consider if you decide to go for it.
