    Motor oil for 150hp ProXS

Going to be changing the oil in my outboard at 100hr. and am wondering which oil is the best to run in it. I use Mobile 1 in all my vehicles so I am leaning toward that type of oil. What would be the best for me to use. I put about 50hr./tr on the motor.

    Thanks for any guidance.

Moving your post to the 4-Stroke forum for you.

First and Foremost: Use a MARINE rated engine oil. See your engine owner's manual, and/or the label provided on the engine for oil recommendation.

10w30 Synthetic Blend (Mercury or Quicksilver) would be my recommendation.

Thanks for the input. I was hoping to maybe find a better oil, but if there is none better then I will use what the manual says.

Mercury synthetic blend is actually one of the best motor oils that you can buy. Its good stuff!

My 2021 Merc 150 4S manual says do not use full synthetic. Recommends dino or syn blend.

Car engines don’t usually sit at 6,000rpm for extended periods.

    Buy the Mercury oil.
