Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for a jackplate . Im set up to put a 4" hydraulic on but was wondering if a 6" is the way to go. I have a 195 7xw te w/ 150 4s. Thanks

I put a bobs 10" on my 195. Not necessarily for speed but for bow lift. I have 2 12" graphs and a heavy ass ghost up front plus more tackle than I'll ever need. I found before the jp, my nose would ride dangerously low if there was any kinda waves. Also can run super shallow. Biggest thing I'd say is keep an eye on water pressure while running.
I’d go 6”. the tracker transoms are pretty sorry in general, can’t say I’d go bigger.

This is why I'm going to suggest very little setback just for the sake of dialing in engine height. And Trackers already sit nose high to begin with causing them to get blown around like a top.
OP-go with the 4" you have planned and hope your transom doesn't make you regret it later. Read the fine print in your warranty to make sure a jack plate won't void it and if it does make sure you're OK with being on your own if your transom fails.

Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Just smile and walk away.
Thanks Guys much appreciated. Ya kinda worried about transom but as a second owner they told me at one of the bass pro boat centers the hull warranty doesn't transfer. going to bump it up to the 6" and hope for the best. Hopefully she holds together.
Did it help speed at all. If so what did you get. I also have a ghost going on and have a 16 and a 12 up front. How long ago did you put the 10 on? a lot of people are telling me to be careful with that transom?
No way I'd run a 10" plate on a Tracker hull. Like I said above go as little as possible and what I forgot to mention is a carefully selected prop will help a lot even if you don't have that lever action caused by a jack plate. Plus, do you really want your boat to sit up higher in the front than it already does? I know even compared to the 175txw I had I can lip bass I don't want to boat flip way easier in my Xpress and they don't sit particularly low in the front either. Tracker hulls sit in the stratosphere up front just like a Champion!

@mtbassbum..no speed gain, only get 50mph on a good day. Have had the 10 for 2 years no problems at all. Newer trackers have heavier gauge aluminum. If it was to Crack I know welders so I ain't sweating it. I like to run and gun so if it was to Crack I think it would've by now.
That's terrible if you are only getting 50 MPH out of one.
