There is nothing like a good buddy that is always up for a good fishing trip. Dogs are one of life’s rare blessings

Wish I could take one of my dogs sometimes but they don't like being separated.

The driveway of my old house was a migratory path for turtles (I didn't know there was such a thing until I witnessed it myself). It takes a long time for a turtle to traverse the 100' or so that our dog could see it and warn us about the invasion. Bumble bees trapped in the garage was always good for another 5 minutes of barking.

Used to have a dog that was obsessed with turtles. He would go up and down every row in the garden and clear out the turtles. Find a turtle on a walk? Yeah he'd carry it home. Could tell which turtles he had chewed on before. Oh, a dog's breath after chewing on a turtle ain't nice

Yeah mine kinda messes up my fishing some days but not all the time…. My old man is always “bragging” on he caught 27 or 32 or 53….. im usually like well, I caught 3…. I’ll catch 30 on a good day but when Justice is with me, it’s not always about the catching..I love watching him pointing at the egrets and white cranes or the little puddle ducks or whatever he sees…. He loves watching the alligators and let’s out a little muffled growl..I’m not fishing a tournament and I don’t give a $hit about bragging (I don’t want him or his brother wanting to go where I fish anyway).

I'm to the point I just love being on the water and seeing others enjoy it.. I used to not be anywhere close to water without having a pole and if not I almost didn't want to even be there.. now I just love being there and seeing how much joy it brings my dog and others ..
