    Muskies

Want to get into it. What equipment? Line? I hear people use 60 to 100 lb test line but even what looks like heavy duty rods that I look at are rated 15 to 20 lb line.

Go to the ST.Croix Web site and look over the muskie specific rods. It will open your eyes.

I am not sure on blank weight but a mh might be good and around 7-8 ft. You need a good real to cast and bring the BIG heavy baits. It is spendy but should be fun.

    I got this 49inch on 20lb test

WOW, nice fish. Back in my younger days Iv'e also landed some pretty big northerns on 8# test and a Zebco Omega-1 reel. Probably bought that rig in the '50s. Still have it and it still works good but rarely use it anymore.

ypo can get a nice muskie inovation rod on ebay very reasonable you probably want an 8ft heavy with a revo toro 85# test braided line couple double cowgirls couple pacemaker topwater baits couple hell hounds good to go. Muskie fishing is expensive but exciting, lures are on average are 20 dollars each. you catch one and you are hooked. Oh yeah dont forget a couple of bulldogs
